A lot of people think Kyler Murray is nothing much. They think he is overvalued and will just drown out in the sea of NFL first round busts. Many say this is because he struggled 2 nights ago against the Raiders mediocre defense. More of that later. Some cardinals fans are upset that he was drafted this early. But the reason the cardinals drafted him is because on paper, (and even a bit in real life) Kyler Murray is pretty much a duplicate of Russel Wilson. Years ago, the cardinals willingly passed up on Russ, and he has made them pay for it.
Wilson's average passer rating vs. the Cardinals is 100.3, a very good score. Back to Kylers stats. In the total of 4 drives he has played in his NFL career, he had a very good opening game (drive) he went 6/7, and 48 yards. He would have been 6/6 had one of his receivers not steeped out of bounds and ran back in to catch it, being Illegal touching, counting as a incompletion. But Next week was a whole different story.
He went 3 for 8, overthrew almost every receiver, and was sacked for a saftey. I know, pretty bad, but clearly, he was not trying, right? We may never know. Dispite all of this though, i, and many others still think Kyler Murray has substantial potential, but we'll wont find that answer until the final ticks in week 17 of the 2020 NFL season.
